Update your Store Displays for a Fresh Start

Feel like your store could use some updating? Cleaning your store's shelving or rearranging items can make a big difference in the overall satisfaction of your customers and the success of your business. Typically the time of year when many retailers have downtime, the new year is the perfect time to refresh your store instead of assigning employees mundane tasks. Keep reading to learn how you can update your store displays for a fresh start this new year.

Put away remaining holiday signage & displays

You’d be surprised what you'll find lying around your store. Make sure any past holiday signs and displays are neatly put away and new products are ready to go. Products displayed as gifts can still be useful, however. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and gift baskets are always great for birthdays or anniversaries. If you still have some leftover items you are hoping to sell, don’t feel like you have to remove them from the sales floor. Simply switch out your signage to brand them as year-round gifts.

Do some rearranging

If you don’t have fresh merchandise to fill in, rearrange some of your existing displays. When shoppers drop by for a return, they’ll be more likely to browse products for exchange if they think they are seeing something new. Do a deep clean

As you are rearranging your displays, be sure to give them a nice cleaning. Dust off every shelf, sweep underneath racks or fixtures that are typically blocked my merchandise, reorganize around the cash wrap, and wipe down all mirrors and windows around the store. Consider new retail displays

Looking to add new products such as an end unit or candy riser? Maybe you want to replace some older displays that are falling apart? No matter what the reason may be, investing in new retail store fixtures and displays can really help your business. Not only will adding new displays make you feel good, it will also make an impression on your customers.

Shoppers love seeing new and exciting merchandise when they walk into a store, and after spending so much time in stores over the holidays, they are ready to see a change.
